Sorry if this has been discussed somewhere, couldn't seem to find it. I've been designing my brewery shed and have been stuck on flooring options. Originally I was going to go with ceramic tile, however moving around heavy equipment could prove detrimental if anything drops. I want the option of...

    Grain Expiration

My apologies if this has been discussed but I didn't come across it. I found a 5 lb bag of sealed grain, 2.5lbs of pils and 2.5 lbs of wheat. It has probably been in my basement, for two years, fairly cool and relatively airtight. Any idea how long crushed grain lasts?

Thanks for the info crane. So maybe I will up the amount a little bit, I don't want anything overpowering from the rhubarb but I think it will compliment the tartness of the Berliner quite well. Thanks again!

Mash and then sour with lacto for 24 to 72 hours in my keg, purge with C02 to get most of the oxygen out. It's the first one so I'll want to try it each day...

    American Wheat

So I have done two batches of pure extract batches and want to move on to doing one steeping with specialty grains and then go forward from there. I want to do an american wheat, what would be a good specialty grain to steep with a wheat and pale extract?
