    Vanilla wiezen question

    So... I am moving my vanilla wiezen into secondary today. Recipe calls for a vanilla been pod into the carboy. I'm curious as to how to sanitize the pod and the actual beans inside. I'm thinking of boiling but I'm worried I might boil the essence away. What do you guys think.also,

    Brewed a vanilla wiezen

    Brewed a vanilla wiezen, super excited. I pitched to early and killed the yeast. Luckily I had an extra pack and pitched that one, coming along great! Smells of bananas, will put the vanilla bean in secondary along with a few drops of vanilla extract.

    Chocolate Maple Porter
