    How long after grinding grains do they start to lose flavor or go bad? Ordering grains online and don't have a grinder for this batch.

    I am looking to do my first AG brew and want to make my own recipe to start with and play with flavorings. Where do I start to get blend of grains to mash and pair that with hops and yeast? Should I use one grain and yeast to get flavors individually?

    I have a 5 gallon glass carboy and a 5 gallon stainless brew pot. What size mash tun is needed for a full carboy ferment? How big will it have to be to hold the necessary grains and water to mash?
