    Finished my 8 tap keezer

Waaay late reply, sorry. The trim does cover most of the seal, but I painted the front/outside facing part of the seal black to match anyway.

    Finished my 8 tap keezer

I started with 10' and tested with different serving pressure and temp. Had the best results shortening the lines down to around 6.5', liquid lines that is. Gas is 8' inside and I have another 10' gas line run outside for quick easy access.

    Destroyed Carboy.....

Two words: Better.....Bottle.... Glass isn't worth it. Nothing wrong with the ole bucket though either. If you want "upgrade", I'd go for these Speidel fermenters. HERE

    Dry hopping in keg

I would think that it's no different than a hop rocket run inline however, I think the main concern would be pulling "gunk" through your lines and maybe getting crap stuck in your tap. Maybe throw the hops in a bag and let them float?

Seems too. Plus I think it helps keep a more even temp within the large keezer. That big ole bucket of damprid doesn't hurt either. Always done dry.

    Finished my 8 tap keezer

Tried some rare earth magnets at first but it didn't feel solid enough for me. It's pretty heavy with two monster drip trays so that's when I decided to go with the 4" L shape brackets and epoxy those directly to the freezer. Then screwed the box to the brackets. It's not going anywhere now...

    Finished my 8 tap keezer

Glad it helped! I did the same thing (showed the wife several others builds) before I got the green light to build mine. Lol

    Finished my 8 tap keezer

Thank you. I was originally going to get some decorative "L" brackets but ended up with generic silver due to no selection at home depot. Painted the brackets and epoxied them to the freezer. Ran a strip of thin/strong double sided tape along the back of the drip tray box for added support...

    Foam from kegerator

Actually, since you're sitting at such a cool temp (~35F), you'll probably want to drop your serving pressure down around 8-9psi for a generic ale. Legend at the bottom tells you styles, top is your set psi and left is beverage temp.

Sounds like all it needs is time then.:mug:

    Dry Hop Questions

Be careful oxygenating your fresh brew with this method. I'm sure you've had no issues, but it would be a concern for me.

    Foam from kegerator

Beverage line should be smaller diameter than gas line as well. Having a brain fart at the moment, but I want to say most beverage lines are closer to 1/4". Not "the" problem since you say it was fine previously, but could contribute to excessive foam....

    Foam from kegerator

What's your serving pressure? You said the beer is cold; how cold? Did you bleed the keg before setting to serving pressure? You mentioned you let the keg sit/settle, how long? Beverage lines could be longer but I doubt that's the problem. Bleed the keg, let it sit below 42F overnight at a...

    Dry Hop Questions

Nothing wrong with that but be warned, if you need to move it to siphon, everything that "settled" will quickly turn back into a cloudy mess. That said, no matter what, with time it will clear out once bottled or the bottom of the keg. Also recommend a good cold crash before you go to...

Form to wrap immersion chiller tubing?

Don't suppose you have a keg or CO2 tank laying around? Not sure of their exact dimensions, but know they work well. 6" diameter will be tough though....especially if you're working with anything more than 1/4" copper.

    US-05 mistake

I highly doubt you would get any off flavors from a starter with US-05 unless it was a massive starter and low OG brew. I would have let it ride and just not pitched the entire starter saving the rest for another batch. Either way, should be fine.

    Finished my 8 tap keezer

Forget exactly what it was called, but it was a paint specifically for appliances. Very thick, but 2 coats with a roller and it worked out well...looks original. They (Lowes/Home Depot) also sell the same stuff in spray, which may be easier for certain applications.

    Finished my 8 tap keezer

Thanks! It was the largest freezer they had at Lowes....25 cu ft. I believe. I have my CO2 tank outside (more efficient) but 8 kegs only take up half the freezer leaving me plenty of space to lager and/or store bottles, grains, etc. It's actually pretty overkill, but I don't mind....lol

    Finished my 8 tap keezer

Didn't take many pictures along the way as the build progressed, but here are a few that I snapped (crappy cellphone pics). Recently moved, so I'm scrambling to build my reserves back up and will have all 8 flowing within a few weeks. Really happy with how it turned out and wish I had done...
