    Changing color and flavor

    I made a NEIPA. It was bursting with fruit flavors and slightly orange before carbonating. Once it carbed up, it became pale in color and the flavor died down significantly. I have no idea what happened?

    Fermentation Chamber Temp

    If I want to brew a 7% abv beer at 65 degrees do I need to keep my fermentation chamber at 55 degrees for the first few days to offset the rough 10 degree rise in fermentation temps until it slows down? This would be my first time using a chamber with temp control.

    I am not sure if it’s just my recipe, but should it cost close to $80-$90 to make a NEIPA? It’s really the hops consisting of Citra, Galaxy, Amarillo and Mosaic that are adding up, at about 17 oz. Those are in depend hops these days so maybe it’s just Supply and demand?
