We had something similar, some scores went way up and some went way down. The judges have to be critical in the second round; but I agree, it should probably not be a 20 point drop in scores unless your second round scoresheets indicate an infected bottle or such. Contacting the organizers...

The cam locks come with a large silicone washer that requires a little more force to operate. A simple replacement with a silicone o-ring will allow for easy, one hand operation.

Yes that's it! Moving the kegs toward one end would allow you to build a table and some storage space on the other end. A pegboard on the backwall of the "storage" end would allow you to hang your brew day equipment (hoses, spoons, etc...) Having a table for the laptop and cold beers makes...

I've brewed a DME Nut Brown on the firepit in the backyard. Controlled temperatures by moving the pot on the grill grate toward/away from the flame much like cooking on the grill with indirect heat. You can expect some smoky flavor in the beer, but it worked great with the Nut Brown recipe.
