Brewed a BB Imperial Nut Brown. 3 weeks in bucket.....then bottled. Tried one after 1 week in bottle. No carbonation, or at least, very little. Normal? Every other beer I've made I've tried after 1 week at it was carbing up ok.
I have brewed the Oatmeal Stout, the Witbier, Oktoberfest, and a few others as well.....they have all turned out very, very good IMO. Right now I have their Rye Pale Ale in the primary, and just bottles the Imperial Nut Brown.
thanks for the replies .....
and yes.....making more is on the top of the priority list lol.......I got an IPA on deck......as soon as the fermenter is empty......
Maybe I should invest in another bucket lol........
Thanks again.
So....I've made 2 Brewers Best batches, one was an oatmeal stout and the other a belguin wheat......neither of which clarity was not an issue.
Next 2 batches are an IPA and a summer ale. After 3 weeks in the primary, will they be clear for bottling without doing any 'clearing'?
Greetings......
I am also pretty new to this hobsession. I have bottled 1st batch, got #2 fermenting, and am looking at what to brew for #3, #4, #5.... .... .... ....
Relax, take your time, let it sink in, and enjoy the ride!
My oatmeal stout was in primary 3 weeks, then bottled. Very clear. After one week in bottle I popped one. Very smooth and tasty!!! Cant wait to try one after 2 weeks!
I like stouts....Guinness is not all that good in my opinion....these small craft brewers make way better stout than Guinness.....plus I prefer the english stout.
So....the Oatmeal Stout has been in the fermentor 3 weeks....got a SG reading yesterday. Instead of pouring it back in, I drank it! Just to get an idea of what I'm dealing with. YUM!!! Wasn't bad at all ! Flat....but GOOD. Cant wait to bottle and (after waiting 3 more weeks) DRINK !!!!
So.....first time brewing ..... I have been drinking sierra Nevada stout and bully porter etc.....I like these. Is my BB Oatmeal stout going to taste as good as these store - boughts?
Greetings.....
First batch is bubbling!!! It is a BB Oatmeal Stout. From what I read here on the forum, I cant decide on leaving in the primary or using secondary. I'm inclined to leave in fermenter....just seems easier. If so, how long to leave in fermenter? 3 weeks then bottle?
At any...
My first batch is in the primary!!!! BB Oatmeal Stout.....
Everything seemed to go as planned, the steep seemed to go well, the boil went well. Chilled it down in a matter of minutes with the ice water in the sink technique. Poured it in the primary, filled it up to 5 gal., then shook the...
