    Cherry Concentrate

I'm brewing a Cherry Stout and planned on using this concentrate in my secondary: http://stantonorchards.com/store/ I found that this product is not pasteurized after contacting the maker. I assume I should find a way to pasteurize or is it ok since it's food grade? I'm thinking if I boil...

Beginner looking for good Kolsch recipe

Hey everyone, FNG here looking for a good Kolsch partial grain recipe. The only commercial Kolsch I've tried so far is Reissdorf (which is f'ing amazing btw) and I love the fruit notes this beer offers. To me, this is the perfect summer brew. I am hoping to get close. Anyone out there...

LOL, Jordan is my buddy. I also know the rest of the clan. In fact, I just saw Jordan at Noodles and Co where he's a GM. Me and that kid have tore it up a time or two!

    Just in from WI

That's awesome. One of my favorite beers of all time is their Copper Kettle. MMMMM. The brewery is not too far from me and I know a guy who works there that oversees bottling. I really need to grow that relationship!

I used to be in the restaurant biz myself. I used a quat sanitizer for surface areas, but for the the tools I used 1 step. There is definitely some argument as to whether the 1 step is actually a sanitizer or not, but I am trusting due to all the reviews and the fact it came with my kit. I...

    Glitz- Restaurant Sanitizer

I was at my LRSP store the other day and noticed a ready made spray sanitizer called Glitz. I used to work as a bartender and remember using this type of no rinse for everything. We used an EcoLab product, but the salesman told me it had the same ingredients. I always ran a clean bar and was...

Saving a little extract- 1st time brew

I've read in "How to Brew" that the author recommends saving a little of the extract to add only about 15 min prior to cooling. Apparently it's enough time to pastuerize the malt while leaving a good amount for the yeast. Obviously this is not list on the recipe but the book says to do it...
