Secondary Fruit , let it ferment or not?

Gotcha, I guess I will let it ferment in the secondary, I want a good peach flavor, but I dont want it to taste like peach juice.

Secondary Fruit , let it ferment or not?

I am making a Peach Pale Ale and was wondering if I should allow the frozen peaches I am going to rack on top of in the secondary ferment or not? I am guessing if I do not allow it to ferment I would have more peach flavor, but worry it might be overpowering. Thanks =)

    Some PB2 Advice

Had to make a decision so went with 10.5 oz in a vodka slurry, about 16oz worth. Going to let it sit for a while in the fridge and then throw it in the secondary.

    Some PB2 Advice

I have been reading through threads on here to get an idea of adding some PB2 into my Chocolate Porter. I am looking to add a subtle amount of peanut butter flavor to the beer, I don't want it to be in your face and the main flavor. I have a couple questions, based on what I read I will be...

    Weird carbonation issue

Manifold is open and set around 14psi. I checked the tank and it's open as well (was going to laugh at myself if it was closed)

    Weird carbonation issue

So I have had an APA kegged and carbed for a while now. I have drank prob 1/3 to 1/2 the keg. I went to pour some for a friend last week and it was completely flat. I have 14psi on it and its holding. My co2 tank is still pretty full after 2 other kegs, so I figure at this point it would be...

Two kegs in and I'm sold using syrups for variety rocks!

I started doing carbonated water + rio extracts this week. We got black cherry , cola and cream soda. As some others have stated we are finding them to be a little weak. I did 2 3/4 cup splenda, 20oz water, 1 oz concentrate. Since it is Splenda we did what the directions said and topped off to...

    DIY Beer Line Cleaner

Ok cool, i havent actually taken one apart yet, they are all in my keezer. I wasnt sure if there was enough room to remove the nuts with the hose on, thanks for the response =)

    DIY Beer Line Cleaner

On a pin lock liquid post that has the quick disconnect, it would be the post, then a nut with a barbed end inside it. The hose would be on the barbed end with the nut, I was curious if you can remove the nut and disconnect the barbed end with hose still attached. Since removing the hose off the...

    DIY Beer Line Cleaner

I was thinking of going this way, I havent tried but can you remove the nozzle with the hose still attached from the liquid post? Cause if I have to take the hose off, which is a pain in the ass I may just go full post instead.

    Keezer Water Issue

Awesome, Ill give some variations of each a try and see which works best. Thanks for the info. Another thing I am hoping will help is I picked up 2 more kegs this week on sale. So I will have 4 full kegs in the freezer to take up space and keep the temps down. I have already use rust...

    Keezer Water Issue

I have this sensor (http://www.midwestsupplies.com/refrigerator-thermostat-control-analog.html) I don't think you can change the 3degree temp difference. I currently have the sensor on a gallon jug. Ive never heard of using the wall of the freezer, how does that work?

    Keezer Water Issue

I thought about what you guys were saying and thought of this as well. Since I am taking water temp in a gallon jug the internal temp inside the freezer gets up into the high 40s sometimes before the compressor kicks on again to cool the freezer (prob to the 20s to get the water temp down). I...

    Keezer Water Issue

I dont think its vapor getting in, when the coils turn on they freeze the side of the keezer, but the keezer only stays at about 38 degrees so eventually the frozen areas on the side defrost and dribble down the side. I am pretty sure my seal is good, I put a light on the inside and turned off...

    Keezer Water Issue

Yeah I have an Eva Dry in there already and my temp probe is against an insulator water jug. I dont think Eva Drys will do anything since it literally water going down the side after the coils run. A shammy at the bottom might work for the water that runs down the side. Dont think there is much...

    Keezer Water Issue

I did some searching and saw others with this issue, I have some problems with condensation forming on the sides of the keezer from the coils. It slowly works it way to the bottom where it is now starting rust in the seams of the keezer. I bought some rust neutralizer and am going to spray it...
