    Man, I love Apfelwein

Looks like I am not the only one who's making this today. I am pretty excited! I saw the recipe, and when I was shopping, picked up some Montrachet yeast, ans said "why not?" Just so I dont have to browse 100+ pages, it does prime in a normal beer bottle right?

    Beerswap 2007: Beerrific's Brews

I think I read somewhere that band-aidy medicinal tastes are the result of wild yeast mixing with your wort. Could it be that the tubing/spigot were not sinitized well enough? Also, it could be from too much chlorine in your water. Its what I read anyway. I wouldnt know firsthand.

    The Destruction of Malt

what I mean is, my dogs will clean the floor for me. If I make a 2/3 batch, wont the yeast, i dunno, "overpower" the wort, or something?

    The Destruction of Malt

I brought home an Austin Homebrew Supply Bavarian Hefe kit. Bag rips as I walk in door liquid malt bucket falls out and breaks on floor, spilling 1/3 of its guts on the tile I manage to save the rest. Is there anything short of going back to the store/ordering more that I can do to salvage...

    St Arnold's Fancy Lawnmower

Hmm.......I see your remarks. I too do not notice the citrus. In fact, after beer #3, it keeps getting better. I dont put stock in other folks opinions, but I like to know what others say about it. It did not get very good reviews on beeradvocate either

    First Beer Fest

Is anyone going to San Antonio Cerveza Fest this year? I will be in town on the 11th, and want to go. But ive never been to a pub crawl or beer fest, I am curious how the whole thing works?

    St Arnold's Fancy Lawnmower

You didnt find it kind of Budweiser-y? I'm still planning on sending in my containers for that pint glass though. Its not bad. good clean finish. Ratebeer.com raped it. Maybe you could share you beer-ish critiques, so I could now what I am tasting?

    St Arnold's Fancy Lawnmower

Anybody had it? Its a Kolsch style ale from a Houston MB. Their Elissa IPA was pretty good, so I tried it. Gotta say, its very BMC, with a floral finish. I wouldnt buy it again. I'll make up for it with an Arrogant Bastard. On another note, the Army Class 6 will order cases of...

    Hello everyone !!

I'm curious. When I was in London, there was an ale, served just about everywhere, with a red label, and some sort of golden lion on the label, and its tasted like margerine. What was it?

Found the Heaven of Local Beer Retailers

I love World Markets!!!!! Pay way too much for great beer, but craft brew can be hard to come by in "uncultured" society. Arrogant Bastard and Old Rasputin are my old guitar player's standby's. And the beers too.

    Has anyone tried Terrible?

I was at my local craft beer importer, and found a 750ml bottle of beer called Terrible. It says 10.5% alc./vol Dark Ale on Lees, Quebec, Canada. I am having trouble identifying the tastes within. Has anyone ever tried this beer?

    Recommend "New" Bands

I tend to rock, but here are a few gems of mine from the last 4-5 years Mike Ness (lead singer of Social Distortion) "Cheating at Solitiare" - country rockabilly, very derivitive, very good Rise Against - anything really - The heir apparent to Bad Religion AFI - Decemberunderground - it...

Real Absinthe now available in the US

I had some in Prague. Tried to chase the fairy, i did. Its like a black licorice schnapps, thats green. Definitely do the sugar and/or fire thing if you can. If its the real deal, you will be far too drunk before any of the "hippy" effects hit you.
