    Lid or no lid

    I've always put a lid on my kettle when chilling to prevent airborne bacteria, however someone told me I should keep it off during chilling so I'm not trapping the DMS in there. Is that right?     2.5 or 3 gallon kegs

    Does anybody know where to get them somewhat cheap? My new fridge won't fit my 5 gallon, and I absolutely hate bottling. I can only find 3 gallon kegs new, and they're about $100. Too much IMO
