    Adding dried Chili Peppers

    I'd like to brew a Coco mole beer similar to the NewBelgium lips of faith. I will be using dried Chili Peppers. I need some ideas on how to add them in a controlled manner so that I don't end up with a smoking hot beer. Any advice would be appreciated.

    substitute for malted oats?

    I'm trying to clone a karameliet tripple. 5 gallons. It calls for 1.5 lbs of malted oats. Can't find malted oats. Should I use flakes oats? Roast them a bit? I also read that flaked barley is a good substitute. My recipe already has 1.5 lbs of flaked barley. Would I end up with too much?
