I used this. I also used it for the sides. It changes colors. It actually has an insane amount of colors. https://amzn.com/B0040FJ27S

Here is mine. Used some Light and Dark grains and some Dried whole hops covered in epoxy for the surface.

    Yet another fermentation box build...

Looks great! Hope min turns are as good! Can you give me some advice on bending the copper? I took apart my mini over the weekend and was left with a rats nest of copper. How did you bend it without kinking it? Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Irish Stout Ode To Arthur, Irish Stout (Guinness Clone)

By the Gods I love this friggen beer. I brewed it last year as my 3rd AG and first 10 gallon batch. My old apartment was limited on space and 2 carboys in the spare bedroom in a large bureau thing. Due to having only a single thermostat which resided in the apartment upstairs, the room reached...

    Yet another Keezer!

I used the Love temp controller. And so far I'm happy with it. For the volume of epoxy, there are some formulas you can use. I did mine in stages, which was way more $$ but let me layer in steps so I knew how many more oz would give me my desired height more or less. Just found this...

American Pale Ale Kona, Fire Rock Pale Ale (AG Clone)

Northport, NY! So, WAY down the highway! :cross: I was curious since my LHBS was voted best LHBS on Long Island and thus were doing a 2 for 1 on Sacks of grain. I had herd it was going to be two-row but I was able to get a sac of Marris Otter as well! Thanks for the info Avocet and...

    Yet another Keezer!

Same exact product, envriotex lite. Yeah I read for days about diffrent epoxy and UV blocking and yellowing from the sun. So far it hasn't yellowed... I plan on keeping it inside, so I'm not overly worried about yellowing...

    Yet another Keezer!

Dave, I way over paid since I bought it in multiple small kits. I used about a gallon and ended up paying nearly $200 bucks. I just saw this: www.amazon.com/Environmental-Tech-EnviroTex-Pour-On-Finish/dp/B000VKZFLI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1369590214&sr=8-2&keywords=envirotex+lite And feel like a...

The Lousy Smarch Coffin Keezer build

That is an awesome idea!:mug: You could line the edge and it would make the entire surface light up I would think! Maybe hide them by overhanging a bit of the surface wood. Man I wish I thought of that!

    Yet another Keezer!

Freezer I got off Craigslist for $107 bucks. Its a GE 7.1 Cubic Feet. It only fits 4 corny's on the floor, and a case of beer or two on the hump. I used Envirotex lite for the top. I ran a few test runs about the size of a coaster to get a process down as I couldn't find much on putting things...

The Lousy Smarch Coffin Keezer build

Man I didn't even realize you used epoxy also! Looks like I'm even more unoriginal! haha I used a torch on the bubbles which worked well. In the directions on the envirotex it says the C02 pops the bubbles not the heat and you can exhale on them and it will work also. I didn't believe it but the...

The Lousy Smarch Coffin Keezer build

I used ~64 oz of the envirotech, yeah. I bought 64 oz and made a few coaster size test pours since I couldn't find much on embedding grains. I posted a new thread since I felt like I was thread-jacking Smarch0's! https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/yet-another-keezer-410305/ Thanks again Smarch0!!

    Yet another Keezer!

Wanted to build a keezer and browsed the countless keezer threads. Big props to all those who came before me for posting theirs and helping/inspiring me. Special props to Smarch0, as I basically completely ripped his design off! This ended up costing me way more than I anticipated, but over...
