This is one of my biggest reason I brew. Perfection is based on your rules. Change a recipe, try a different yeast, ferment at different temps. If it tastes good, drink it.

I brewed a black ipa a while back and kegged it. A tap into it the other day and what do I see, hops floating around. Not sure where things went wrong. Will this settle out over time? It's been kegged for 4 weeks, I'd think that would be more then enough.

I've done cherry stouts before and add 1lb/gal cherries. I use the frozen ones for market.

Used bottled O2 in both buckets. Just popped lid it has a krausen so I guess all is ok just not a active as other bucket.

Mash was for 75min. And the time it takes to get 12+gals to a boil. OMG.

All went well. 8.5hrs, not bad IMO. I did partial cleaning as I went. My wort cools quick through my CFC. I didn't take a post boil volume and came up short by a gallon from the looks of things on the buckets.

So tomorrow is the day. First ever AG and we'll be making a Black IPA. Wish me luck. I've been told this could be an 8hr day. Other brewers I know say they can not break the 6hr mark. Tonight I got my grains crushed and starter going.
