Ready to try my own recipe.critique please

My last batch had all dlme and some 60 for steeping. I was just trying to change that one up a little. Are there any other specialty grains you would add. I just like the color. It will be more ipa than anything. The reason why picked allot of bittering was to compensate for the 2 gallons of top...

    Dry hop plan?

Sounds like you have done it before. Just make sure the black cap is on if you use an auto siphon. I lost some beer with that mistake.

    Potential bombs

So i might just have some gushers. It stayed at 1.020 for a week. I guess ill find out soon. Its good to hear that I'm not the only one who used to much priming sugar. That won't happen again.

    Potential bombs

It was definitely done. Og was 1.082 and final was 1.020. It sat in primary for 3 weeks. i discovered the calculator afterwords. I will use it next time. I'm just gonna try one a week until it's done. They are covered in there cardboard box.

    Potential bombs

I only got like 4.5 gallons of my dipa instead of 5 gallons. Stupidly i used all 5 ounces of priming sugar. After 1 week i had a big co2 sound but no bubbles. I know its early but the longer it sits the more co2 will build up. It was definitely to sweet also. I hope more of the hops come through.

    changing ipa recipe to dipa

Problem solved.lhbs mislabeled their kit. The kit i made was an imperial ipa. If it wasn't my first batch i might have figured that one out.

I believe i did a 3 gallon boil extract addition. 5 gallon batch. I just talk to the lhbs where i got it. They changed it cause of the malt bill. It is definitely an imperial ipa. Thanks for your input. I love this site

Confused about kit and abv. Love2brewcrew please chime in

I took the gravity after the top off water and got 1.082. I did the hop additions 60 30 15. Either way it is gonna be a good beer.. Ive been telling people it is an ipa and thats a big difference. If it wasn't my first batch i might have figured it out sooner. I definitely would have used more...

    Annoyed at myself

I definitely have no proper jars to store it. I'm definitely gonna do it next time. I just know my next batch will be a dipa and I would need a good amount of yeast. I will definitely do it next time. Using washed yeast helps with making a starter get going faster right. I just want to try a new...
