Also known as Tikka Masala.

1 large fine chopped onion
Garlic
Turmeric
Cumin,
Garam Masala
Chilli powder
Tinned tomatoes
Yoghurt

Coconut oil (Ghee or butter will do)
Fry off the spices in the oil. (I also add the remnants of the tandoori marinade)
Add the onions until soft and starting to dry.
Add the juice from the tomatoes.
Finley chop the tomato pulp and add.
Add the lemon juice and let cook through.
Liquidise this mixture and then add the yogurt.

Bad picture sorry.

I use different mixes and like to vary it to test new mixes.
This is a good easy basic mix.

6 tbsps coriander seeds
1.5 tbsp cumin seeds
1.5 tbsp black peppercorns
2 tsps black cumin seeds (shahjeera)
2 tsps dry ginger
1 tsp black cardamom (3-4 large pods approx)
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp cinnamon (2 X 1” pieces)
1 tsp crushed bay leaves
