Has anyone bought from this site?

http://www.greatbargain.net/order/shop1.html

I am thinking about getting my stuff from the site.

I am going to drill into my 15 gal aluminum pot and put a spigot on it.

I cannot decide if to go cheap and get brass or go SS.

Is it a lasting longer or a better for the beer argument?

Thanks

Most or all brass contains some amount of lead to make machining easier. Obviously, this makes people nervous, although the issue can be mitigated by cleaning the brass parts with a 50:50 solution of white vinegar and hydrogen peroxide.

I like stainless because it's more durable. It's also more expensive as you pointed out. If you want to save the money, there's nothing wrong with brass, just clean it as above before use.

another vote of confidence for that vendor.

i also don't see a real problem with brass if this is just a drain spigot. you're not talking about a lot of contact time, and a minute amount of lead.
if it bothers you, use Palmer's guide for removing surface lead and you'll be fine.
