I was talking to day to a few other homebrewers. The topic of putting hops in while mashing (steeping for extract) to add aroma but no bitterness. Has anyone here done this?? How does it work???

Do a search for "first wort hopping." There's lots of banter on here about it; I've never done it, but surely your search will turn up some good info.

I've first wort hopped quite a bit, and highly recccomend giving it a shot.

I prefer first wort hopping unless hop aroma is totally out of style for what I'm brewing.
