So I just ordered an 80 qt aluminum stock pot for brewing and planned on converting it into a brew kettle. I noticed the stock pot has about a 1/4" wall thickness and realized that this would be a problem for normal weldless bulkhead fitting.

I was wondering if anyone had any information for weldless fittings for thicker side walls or alternative ways of converting this bad boy.

you can get a longer nipple- but i think that mine has more than 1/4" of threads left and my walls are 1/16". i think all you really need is a couple of threads to get some bite and squeeze the o ring... did you try?

I have nipples that are 3/8" longer than "close". It may require one extra SS washer on the outside as a shim. If you happen to buy a weldless kit from me, just mention that you want the 1.5" nipple.
