I have never really cared for stouts or porters but my brother has asked me several times this year to make one, even said he will buy the ingredients and help with brew day and bottling. I have been browsing the posted recipes but would really appreciate if someone could help point me in the direction of an easy drinking stout that would be a good example of the style.

I have tried a few but find heavy roasted grains overpowering and have a hard time finishing a pint.

I brew all grain but could easily make an extract.

Oatmeal milk stout. Left hand clone is good. Northern brewer milk stout is easy and has a very nice oak barrel taste.

Right now i am. Brewing a oatmeal coco vanilla coffee milk stout
