Redbirds are getting smacked by the 'Stros... :(

Means I missed Antiques Roadshow.

"VENEER!" :drunk:

Isn't there a basketball game on? ;)

Yeah, it is sad, but there's hot women wearing very little...

It's one of the few shows SWMBO watches, and since I can see the TV from my desk, I catch quite a bit of it myself.

SWMBO is a dance teacher (ballet) and watches this religiously. I don't get excited about the show, but will watch it with her if I'm not doing something else, like dishes.

I don't think the concept is sad, it's a wholesome show that the entire family can watch.

 Ok, now the hard part. Find a good way to link this topic to beer so we can continue to discuss it here on these boards. ;)

well, being that I'm on the road, and I would feel bad ditching my co-worker, I was enjoying a Stone IPA while channel surfing, and seeing Adam Corolla on the unicycle before the game was on....

...I was entertained from the unicycle till the judges started talking...and then onto the next channel...so I commented due to seeing this thread.

My kids like the music and dancing, SWMBO likes the dancing and judges' comments, and Daddy gets a pretty fair dose of eye candy. Everyone is happy, and the DVR kicks in for anything else I might miss. It's a nearly perfect system. ;)

At least Dancing.. is not the misery that f&^%$ Survivor is...

Often heard in my living room "Probst, you s*ck..!"

Besides, I am thinking of naming one of my batches after Julianne...!

The worst part is that its success has spun off about 15 different incarnations across network and cable TV.

... and the Brits own the rights, as the original idea was developed there.
The Simon dude owns a chunk, IIRC.

For American Idol, the show contractual language is terrible to contestants. The show and telcos make mountains of money on the phone voting traffic...

Bread and circuses, armies battling in far-away lands... but I digress.

I'd rather watch porn. Or sports. Or more porn.

Really, I don't have a problem.

porn sports? the olympics, the training, the pictures, the images, arghhhh damm my brain...

The best part about television is that you don't have to watch anything. If you don't like a program, turn it off. I absolutely hate reality TV, so I don't watch it.

See how easy that is? :D

You know, I gotta rant a little here. I don't have TV at home, so I only get to watch when I'm traveling for business. The last THREE out-of-town trips I've been on, not once did I get a chance to see my fav shows: No Dog Whisperer, No Dirty Jobs (Mike Rowe...now there's some slurpy goodness!*). Not even my favorite useless mind-worsening shows like Ghosthunter or Dancing with the Stars. Hrrrummmph! Okay, sorry. Rant off.

*Please recall, as I keep havin' to remind you people, that I'm a CHICK! I'm totally allowed to have nom-nom fantasies about Mike Rowe. Which I do. A lot. :D

Can't say that I watch the show (actually, don't really watch any tv here), but I have in past, as I have met several of the pros who've been on there (only one on this season).

While the show may not be towards your tastes guys, will just casually mention that knowing how to dance has me regularly spending time with hot women in my arms. Definitely worse hobbies. :D
