Hey everyone. This is my first post. I've seen a lot of good advice given on HBT, and I'm hoping to gain some wisdom from you all.
I'm going to begin building a brutus-style brewery in the next few months, but I'm still not sure about which burners I should use. I plan on using 20 gallon kettles from stout kettles (15.75" diameter) so that I have the option of doing either 10 or 15 gallon batches. I'm pretty sure I'm going to use a low pressure propane setup, but I'm not sure if I will need to move up to the 20 or 23 tip jet burners to do 15 gallon batches. I've read a lot of information saying that these are too hot for 10 gallon batches, but it also seems like a 10 tip burner may be too weak for a 15 gallon batch. Is there a happy medium to be had here? Should I use a 10 tip for the mash tun and bigger burners for the HLT and BK? Any advice and experience you all have to offer would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
