    BeerSmith new version

Yep. Had a desktop version years ago, at least 2 laptops ago. I’m struggling with the switch to iPad/tablet for sure. Glad for the quick help. Looking forward to using the new profile.

    BeerSmith new version

Not to be a Richard but this IS the brewing software forum and it IS a thread about issues specific to new versions of BeerSmith. (Which is brewing software) I’ve sent BeerSmith what was requested, the situation is being resolved and quickly - even tho this was posted here. Kudos to BeerSmith

    New Fermentation Chamber

All - Scored a new 7 cu ft chest freezer for Christmas. Destined to be a fermentation chamber. I'm planning it out now. I'm thinking an Inkbird ITC-308 to run temps. Debating on springing for a SS Brewbucket with the thermowell or just continue to use my carboys. What I don't have a grasp...

The cost of craft beer, holy cow that's pricey.

Just paid 27 OTD for a bottle of CBS. I didn't feel too bad about that. Been my Moby Dick for a long time and finally managed to snag it. Now I don't really want to drink it because who knows if I'll ever see it again. Going to hit some smaller stores today and see if they have more. I'd like...

Small Taproom in your town's future?

All of the breweries in my area have tap rooms it seems. Never occurred to me that you'd have one WITHOUT a tap room. Been a ton of chatter about how tap rooms are the "new" fad and going to be the wave.... all I've ever known.

What was your Gatewaybeer to craft beer?

Honestly - I always hated beer/macro. Then I found out you could make your own beer and I was vaguely aware that there were styles other than BMC. So in a way - homebrew was my gateway to craft. Now I can tolerate Coors Yellow Bellies, PBR and Schlitz. I didn't get to any of those first...

    What are you drinking now?

Had some Ten Fidy at work. Now I'm drinking a left over homebrew I found. Chocolate Cherry Stout. Has some head to it but not what it should. Then again - this particular bottle is 5 YEARS old. Beer at this age is very mellow and good.

The cost of craft beer, holy cow that's pricey.

For the stuff I buy - 8 to 12 a 4 pack is about the norm. People freak out over that but will drink a shaker pint of Bud Light at 4 bucks each like that's cheap and a good buy in the bar. Doing the math - 4 shaker pints of Bud at 16 bucks or 4 good beers, little less volume for 12 - no brainer...

Craft Trying to Buy-Out AB-Inbev - Crowdfunding Campaign

    1. They'll never collect and even if they did hit the mark - that's always moving. 2. It's purely a marketing gimmick to get your email address. You do that -get some swag. 3. It has gotten noticed big time which is all it was about. They produced a blurb on par with what the big breweries do...
