    Another FNG!

Hey, Sapp, You can get external temperature controllers that will cycle the power to your freezer to maintain a cooler temperature. Johnson and Ranco are two of the most common, just because they've been around the longest. There are lots of ways people have rigged up other options for temp...

    I think I'm back...

Glad you're getting back into it. Smaller batches could definitely be a great way to go with limited space. A lot of homebrew suppliers have small kits that make use of Mr Beer fermenters. Good luck!

    Hey All, New Brewer

I, too, mostly ferment in opaque containers. I try not to use spigots on my fermenters, but they're definitely needed on the bottling bucket. Sounds like you're off to a great start, though!

You're off to a great start. My first batch wound up finishing about 2 AM as well, and that was just because I needed some sleep. Have fun!

    Hi from snowy NH!

BIAB can be a great way to step into all-grain brewing. I would recommend getting one of the large bags from Midwest Supplies or your local homebrew shop. The $7 price tag is worth the convenience, in my opinion rather than sewing a bag on my own.

    New Brewer in NJ

Sounds like you have a great setup to get started. One idea for chilling could be to get a large bin that would hold the kettle and figure out the right height to add a drain hole that would allow efficient cooling. One thing to be wary of is dropping the temperature during fermentation. You...

    Hello from Ireland

Sounds like you're off to a great start. This is how it all gets started. If you have a good source for ingredients, you could do worse than using the recipes in https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f54/ Most of the recipes have both all-grain and extract or partial mash versions. Have fun!

There is a certain quality that happens from the knowledge you made the beer. It will improve it, undoubtedly. Have a great day!
