What do you do with the water after it passes through the chiller? Let it run out on the ground/down the drain? Trying to figure out a use for it other than going to waste.
Is it better to buy an empty tank somewhere and have it filled or just buy one pre-filled? Any particular places to look for good deals or places to avoid? Thanks!
Yes, I just used one of the generic templates online but I don't think it looks all that bad. I'm sure they will be ruined the minute they encounter moisture but at least they were cheap.

Colder is better when you're talking about crappy tasting beer. For me to drink a Budweiser I'd want it to be as cold as possible to mask the wet cardboard flavor.
Thanks for the response. This is only my second batch, I probably rushed it a little. I did a week in the primary and then 9 days in the secondary before cold crashing. Are you talking about substituting the extra light DME for the darker stuff that comes with the kit or just adding some in with it?
Just bottled this beer today and got a FG of 1.022. Is this in the normal range for the recipe? The abv is about 5.5% and I was expecting it to be a little higher. My OG was right on point at 1.064. The sample tasted pretty bland as well, although it was still pretty cold from cold crashing.

Up until recently breweries here in AL weren't allowed to have taprooms. No on sight sales were allowed due to some ridiculous law. Now there are several and they are all thriving. Seems like you'd be leaving a ton of money on the table by not having one.
