I have been doing LME (5 batches so far) and all are darker than the clone. Not happy with the results. Most ppl will look at it and say......I don't like dark beer so they already don't like it. I have been told LME and darkness are the nature of the beast....??

Hey all, I just started brewing my own beer so I have the buckets and carboys. My kids will be visiting me and my son in laws like woodchuck cider. I have a 3 gal carboy and looking for a easy recipe for them. Thanks RickyG

I just bought some about 2 months ago. Just at local Home Depot and they had a display with it on sale, but the contents had blue "things" in it. My last one was all whitiish. I checked and it looked like the one i got and no perfume. Did they change the formula?

My last bottled batch ended up tasting "sour' so I'm thinking an infection. What would you do with the bottles? Wash in oxiclean n bottle brush, dishwasher on heat cycle, then starsan or just throw them away? Thanks, RickyG

Im a noob also, but I think the group here will say to crush the grain. For halving...if all is 1/2 im sure that is ok. Works for the wife when she makes cookies ;)
