    North Carolina Keggles

Hey Guys and Gals, I've been holding on to a couple keggles for way too long. Life is dictating that I'll never get to brew with them, and that's OK. Would love to find them a new home. The first only has the top cut. There are no other holes/ports cut. It's your blank canvas to make the way...

    BIAB Hard "All-Natural" Lemonade

Maybe go halves to make a real homebrew shandy or radler if it's too much to bear on its own?

    Recirc eBIAB Kettle Return Options

Old thread, but very curious if the SS Brewtech manifold worked for you at the bottom (rather than top) of your mash. I've had the same idea for my ebiab, and been looking to see if anyone else had tried that.

Help me troubleshoot - Recirculation, low efficiency, "batch" sparging

I've often looked at those ss brewtech manifolds, with the idea of putting it at the bottom of the mash sitting on the false bottom(not at the top), and using a fairly forceful pump flow to keep the whole mash flowing up in suspension. Temps would be super consistent, I would think that extract...

    Colander for squeezing--one option

My 13" Chinese colander showed up this week and fits dead-nuts in my 10gal Concord kettle. I imagine this making my process a lot easier and less messy, and I don't have to worry about a hoist. I typically brew 4 or 5 gallon batches, so weight won't be an issue. Higher gravity recipes are...

    Colander for squeezing--one option

Timely post. I just received one of these today with the same intention...make pressing the bag slightly easier and less messy. I hope to put the bag in the colander and find some kind of weight to leave on top of it for a few minutes (hopefully pressing out the last of the wort) while the...

    SS Chugger Pump borken

Take the head off the pump and then plug it in to see if the motor will turn. Sometimes, old sticky wort left in the head will keep the motor from turning. Hopefully a quick clean will get you back on track...

    North Carolina Selling it All

In a turn of events, I had an offer yesterday for the full rig that fell through, opened up the posting to part it out, had a couple parts offers, then had another full offer today that was accepted. Apologies if anyone feels jerked around, but I had to go with the offer to get the whole rig...

    North Carolina Selling it All

I have a possible deal on the table to sell everything except the stand. If that falls through, I will move forward with parting it out. I will PM individuals based on first response. Thanks for looking and thanks for the interest. Cheers, Brian

    North Carolina Selling it All

Hey All, I have re-purposed all of the QDs and hoses on my new setup, including the whirlpool arm. However, all other equipment remains. I've also disassembled all of the pump head and keggle fittings to give everything a good cleaning. I will drop the price to $800 OBO. I will also consider...

biulding an electric system Help on heating element

The Johnson controller you linked to won't handle the amperage of a 5500w element. Check out Auber Instruments. You'll need some type of PID(or similar) and the corresponding SSR to control the element. You could also go the potemtiometer/SSVR route more cheaply. There are also plenty of...

    Help with Mash Recirculation

I'm working through the final design and build of my new eBIAB recirc system and I have learned a lot from this thread. I've been full volume mashing for 2-3 years now, I love it, and I'd never go back to a traditional 3 vessel system. So, from that aspect, I feel much more comfortable (and...
