Good news, just cracked open my first bottles of this beer and it turned out amazing. I dodged a bullet with this one. Never again will I forget to sanitize the dry hop bag.
So in a lapse in my process, I forgot to sanitize my bag for the hops when dry hopping my double IPA. I racked the beer into a secondary fermenter after the fermentation was nearly complete and forgot to soak the bag in the sanitizing solution.
Did I just ruin my beer? Is there a remedy?
So my wife surprised me with a kit for a double IPA and with it came a propagator pack for Wyeast 1056 American Ale.
I plan on making a 1L starter for it. Should I propagate the yeast twice or will a single propagation be sufficient. The starting gravity should be around 1.072

Is it ok to leave your hydrometer in your carboy throughout the process? Getting ready to do a long brew (double IPA) and want to make sure that the fermentation is done before I dry hop.
