Taste is ok, won't be using this recipie often for other reasons. Biggest pain about Fleishmans is the low floccuation. I lose about an ounce or two each bottle trying to avoid the dregs. Very carbonated, but could be the recipie too.
Worst case scenario: its better than dumping a batch...
This may sound like a dumb question but can you use brewer's yeast from the health food store? On impulse I bought a tin because last batch I started brewing after my LHBS was closed but before I realized they forgot to include the yeast in my ingredients... I used Fleischman's for that one...
Thanks. Bottled my first and brewed my second last Friday... Been sneaking bottles from the first batch already so that I could actually RDWHAHB, already has a nice head and each day it gets better. It will be fun to track its progress.
Glad you mentioned the Fleischmann's... My supplier forgot the yeast when she put my ingrediants together and they closed before I started the boil... Let's see how it goes!
I just got here. So did my beer. At least I get a few houra heads up and five gallons in primary at a decent enough % to be drunk on the lawn in a nuclear dawn when my senses finally blur.
