The pump is sold by kegland.com. It's actually sold by a bunch of companies. Here's one for sale at Northern Brewer: Pump Mine does not have the inline switch in that ad. There are some better pics below. This pump is practically brand new. I was mostly using it to recirculate strike water...
I'm getting rid of most of my equipment because I'm just not using it anymore and I need some room in the basement. Prices are negotiable. I'm happy to ship it to you so long as you pay for it.
Pump with stainless head $40
Blichman Boilcoil 7.5g/120v $60
Copper wort chiller $30
Bottle capper...
I have an old dryer that is being replaced so I snagged the motor out of it. It's a single phase ¼ horsepower motor. I see a lot of people recommending 1/2 hp motors for grain mills. Do you think it's strong enough to crush grain?
I'm not worried about combustion gasses from my equipment. I just want to make sure I am not drawing CO from the water heater exhaust back into the house. As far as the "hood" goes, I was just thinking to mount a 8" inline fan to an elbow and a 8" to 12" reducer. The reducer is 12" on one end...
I want to start brewing in my basement. My pot will sit directly below a window and my plan is to make a diy hood like others have done here on the forum and exhaust directly out the window. I have a 120v Boilcoil that I use for 2-3 gallon batches and I am eyeing up a 500 CFM fan for the...
I brewed my first AG Berliner Weisse 5 months ago and I'm not sure if fermentation is done and if I should bottle it yet or not. This an overview of the procedure I followed:
I made a low gravity wort (1.035) & cooled to ~115˚F and held there with electric blanket for ~3 days with a...
I just wanted to add that you may have seek out any adapter that would fit. In my case I could not find a hose thread adapter for my pull-out faucet but I did find an adapter that was for a portable washer like this one...
I actually do the same and it works pretty well. I think it's actually better than the water pressure I normally get out of my faucet directly anyway. I probably would have changed the faucet but I'm only renting this apt lol
There was an episode of Basic Brewing radio where this guest was talking about using pasta as a source of starch. From what I remember she said it was a successful experiment and it definitely seems less messy in comparison to using flour
The other batches all sat for about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks as well. The recipes were all pretty much the same but I've been tweaking little things. The OG was slightly off target for this batch though. The other ones were all around ~1.075 so this started lower and finished out at about the same...
