Yeah $30-$40 craigslist kegs don't exist everywhere. Right now there isn't a single keg on there in a 3 hour radius of me. I already have a few kegs so it's not like I really need another but free is free. It's been pressure washed, steam cleaned, and looks like any of the kegs I got new.:mug...
Overall shot
It's nasty but it's nasty with soap gunk. A wet rag and it cleans up like a new keg. I'm gonna pressure wash it when it's not 100 degrees out.
The label and my concern. I figured since the antibacterial additive is meant to be safe to spray in your eyes surely it can't be...
Just had a buddy give me an emergency eyewash station that uses a keg to hold the water. I used to sell eye wash equipment years ago and never seen anything like this. It was used in a place that used to mix soaps so the outside is crudded up with sticky soap residue and dirt but I figured it...
We done the inside and outside of my buddys and our shop fridge in line-x when our buddy worked at a shop that done it. Added a ton of weight but I think they are bullet proof now. Gonna hate it if the fridge ever goes out.
Being Japanese there is honestly no telling. Way different culture over there and even between generations they have no clue what's up. The kids change trends over there faster than a teen grows zits.

If it hasn't been a problem in the past, works for you, you're happy with it, then why make a problem of it now.
Then again I drink beer cause I like the flavor not because it looks pretty getting hot in the glass.
Urinal/septic tank
Dad uses the funnel part in the top of his deer stand as a urinal, hose runs down to another one buried in the ground. He drilled holes in the bottom of it, filled it with pea gravel, and buried it on a bed of gravel.
You must ride on nice flat paved roads or only riding across the street. I've yet to see a bottle not pop the top after riding around in a cooler for more than 30 minutes on the back of a 4 wheeler in the woods. I remember my grandpa laughing while I put bottles in the cooler right after I...
If I could find a good pencil kit I liked and could modify for a soapstone and awl I might have to make a set of foo foo marking instruments for myself.
Just my humble opinion, spigots on fermenters just add a spot for possible infection to take place. Something else to clean that doesn't have to be there.
If it makes you happy then go for it.
