Evil Twin Imperial Biscotti Break Clone?

Interesting take on it - I'd never have thought of adding roasted almonds to the mash and boil. This is going to go fairly high up my "to brew soon" list I think.

    Hello from sunny England!

Very true - I lived on the West Coast US until recently. A trip to Hawaii would have been lovely but it's a long way and not cheap! Incidentally the charges you mention are levied by the UK government rather than Heathrow specifically - they go straight to the treasury. Unfortunately you'll...

    Hello from sunny England!

Too many American's say that - it's such a shame. I only turned 30 a year or two ago but I've probably spent close to a year in the US all told over half a dozen different trips. Flights to London these days can easily be had for $600. No excuse not to any more. I know you guys only get a...

Greetings from a fellow British brewer! I'm based in London (home) / Oxford (study). Whereabouts are you?

Do we have any pilots or aviation enthusiasts in here?

I call bull**** on his article too. It sounds like he has experienced it once, from the side, and assumes everyone will have a similar experience. This article paints a different picture -...

Do we have any pilots or aviation enthusiasts in here?

This isn't a dig but everyone complaining about the cost of flying should try doing it elsewhere in the world! In the UK a light a/c will be a minimum of around $180-200 per hour to rent. Landing fees can easily be another $30 on top of that. The licensing is more or less double US prices...

Do we have any pilots or aviation enthusiasts in here?

I'll be on the Airbus A320 (and its variants). I have a job with one of the major European airline already (I'd prefer not to be too specific!). I've done a couple of jumpseat rides - you're absolutely right, it's awesome. One of the absolute best experiences of my life. I never stop...

Do we have any pilots or aviation enthusiasts in here?

Trainee airline pilot here! Should be fully qualified and starting with my airline in a few months, having flown all manner of light aircraft, gliders and paragliders since being a small child. I just had a great summer training at KFFZ. You guys really have the right attitude to ATC and GA...

Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, South Mesa Brewers?

Anyone fancy brewing / having a beer over the next few days? I have quite a bit of time off so happy to provide manual labour for anything you lovely people have planned!

Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, South Mesa Brewers?

Thanks te-wa! Much obliged! I'd come across BRI before but all the others are new to me and now on the to do list!

Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, South Mesa Brewers?

Can anyone recommend breweries / bottle shops / bars to visit in the area? I went to Arizona Wilderness the other day which was *epic* - I'll definitely be heading back there soon! Blasted Barley in Tempe was also great. I've been to Sun Devil Liquor, again excellent, and found places like...

Thanks guys! Please do post up on here when you have anything planned. Even if I'm just there to shift grain and help clean up, I really want to get out and meet some locals!
