That's what I'm saying. That's what threw the red flags. Im just going by what both of the shops told me. My assumption was that maybe with their deal to distribute to Canada, they got with the same distributor that handles Bud. Kinda pissing me off that I can't get a bottle of Oaked A.B...
My local beer shops seem to have run out of most of their Stone beer overnight. I asked the owner what was up and he told me that Budweiser bought them out. I knew that was completely beyond any feasibility. So I went to another beer shop and he said the same thing. I know Stone didn't sell out...
While at a homebrew shop the other day, I wasn't quite sure which grains I wanted to leave with. Its a few hours' drive to a HBS, so I try to leave very well stocked. Lately, I've been trying to keep my recipes fairly simple (usually 3 grains in the grist). Much easier to troubleshoot.
The...
Totally missed the brew day last weekend... But! I did upgrade my AG system. I hear the guys there are doing extract. Maybe I can bring my rig if that's the case.
Well, I had a kettle crack in japan when I was stationed there, so I took it to my squadron's airframes shop for a quick tack.
Besides waiting for 3 weeks and scheduling the Junior Marines a meeting with the OIC, (our code phrase for buying the of-age E3 and below a bottle of Captain) the...
Thanks fellas. I think Matt knocked it out of the park on this one. That's exactly what I was looking for.
I'm not opposed to change at all, but
I'm a little apprehensive about welding out here in Yuma. So, Stealth made a good point with the variables. Maybe if I was closer to a more...
That doesn't really help with which one is more time and cost efficient. Would I save money and time having it welded, or sending the Brewmometers back, paying two-way shipping and the difference of the weldless design?
So I ordered a couple of Blichmann Brewmometers for my weldless setup. I plan to put one on a Keggle mash tun, and the other on a Bayou Classic Stockpot that I've converted with a ball valve into a boil kettle.
Unfortunately, in a hurry, I ordered the NPT versions for the welded brewpots. In...

Not sure if it's been talked about here or not, but Florida is proposing that all microbrews or brewpubs sell any beer they wish to pour on premises to a distributor, only to have to buy it back from said distributor, in order to sell in-house. Sounds like macrobrew law in effect!
