    Leaking Perlick

I emailed Keg Connection and they didn't respond by the next day so I emailed Perlick. Today I have replies from both and Keg Connection said they will forward my email to the owner and let the manufacturer know and if they can't provide me with a fix they will replace. Perlick said they will...

    Leaking Perlick

I recently purchased a couple of 525SS faucets from Keg Connection. One of them works flawlessly but the other has a steady drip leak at the spout. I took it apart cleaned and inspected it then reassembled but it still drips. The handle doesn't seem to go closed all the way. The handle lever...

What kind of beer have I made??

Thanks fellas! After looking at the recipes again the anticipated ibu for the A. Wheat kit is 22 and for the Irish Red 26 so the difference should be minimal. The recipe for AW kit says 1oz Willamette for 60min .25 oz Centennial for flavor .5oz Centennial for aroma. IR is 1.25oz Willamette...

What kind of beer have I made??

I ordered 2 all grain kits and specified the grains be crushed. The brew shop put the grains in the wrong boxes and I didn't realize it until it was too late. One was and Irish Red and the other American Wheat. So I used the grain bill of an American Wheat with the hops for the Irish Red and...

    Hows this sound?

Mash temp was 158 and for yeast I'm using safale-us05 dry ale yeast. Says it's for American ales with a clear crisp end palate.

I'm making my second all grain batch today. It's a strawberry blonde type that I'm going for. I'm wondering which hops I should use out of the ones that I have on hand. I have 1oz Willamette, 1oz Mt. Hood, and 2oz Liberty. Any suggestions? Thanks :mug:

    How long in secondary?

I brewed a batch recently on 6/6. I moved it from the bucket to carboy on 6/11 and dry hopped it with an ounce of Williamette pellet hops and the hops haven't all settled out yet, there are still some floating in the middle on top. How long can I let my brew set in a secondary before it needs to...

    Corn Syrup Question?

I found some cheaper Corn Syrup at the grocery store. The ingredients listed corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, vanilla and salt. Is it supposed to be 100% corn syrup? Will these other ingredients affect the flavor in a good or bad way? Just wondering if this would be fine to use or...

    Thermometers

Is there a thermometer that will make brewing easier? I have a floating one and am getting equipment together to start all-grain brewing. Since temp is so important and there are so many different types out there, I was wondering if there is a certain one or type that lends itself to brewing?

    What should I make?

I have made one Hefe already. It was one of the house favorites. I bought the special yeast for banana/clove aroma, you could definitely smell the banana! I just looked up some info on Saison and that sounds great I think that's what I will try next. Thanks for your help fellas!
