    Installing Racking Spigot On Fermonster?

Make sure you have a silicone washer on both the inside and outside. I did this with my fermonster with no issues.

Am I Oxidizing My Beer With My Bottling Wand

There it is. I wasn't going to get into an argument over this but this has to be one of the most ridiculous ways to answer a question on this forum. If you ask your self why this is a ridiculous way to answer a question then you my friend need to stop leaning on the keyboard to hear your self...

Am I Oxidizing My Beer With My Bottling Wand

Thank you for the tips. I am looking at doing pressure transfers. Since I have you guys here... I know one of the steps I can introduce oxygen is the movement from primary (or secondary) to the bottling bucket. I have access to a nearly limitless supply of 16 and 20-gram co2 cartridges. Would...

Am I Oxidizing My Beer With My Bottling Wand

Yes, the "bubbles" are from the splashing of the beer coming out of the bottling bucket. Thanks for this. I was wondering if anyone else has done this. This was going to be my next idea. I also plan to lower the height of the bottling bucket to lower the speed at witch the beer flows from...

Am I Oxidizing My Beer With My Bottling Wand

No after the first few moments the bubbles subside so there is no cracks in the wand or anything like that. Any tips on avoiding this? Maybe a nicer wand?

Am I Oxidizing My Beer With My Bottling Wand

Trying to fine tune my process. I recently bottled my third batch and while bottling I feel like I am introducing oxygen. When I use my spring loaded bottling wand the first few seconds the beer shoots out and bubbles quiet a bit and gets swished around. I cant imagine this is good for the beer...

    Anxious

It's not going to kill you! It wont be fully conditioned so don't be let down when it doesn't taste quiet right. As a newish brewer I have been tasting my beer at all the stages. It gives you a good idea of the process and what happens between two points. It's good to know what a 'under...

Show us your DIY stir plate!

Nearly free. Just had to buy stir bars. Used pretty much all old computer parts. No speed adjustment but with different size stir bars I can adjust the vortex if needed. Oh and a dollar store vase.

American Pale Ale Three Floyds Zombie Dust Clone

UHG, I am going to taste it today when I get home. It's likely it's an infection... I went to my lhbs and they recommended PBW as a sanatizer. Didn't think twice to double check. Turns out its just a cleaner. I went for it any ways using a bleach water solution but I didnt trust it. Star-San...

American Pale Ale Three Floyds Zombie Dust Clone

Has anyone gotten and strange smells during fermentation of this recipe? I have three gallons of this in my chamber and every one I open it I get a very very strong vinger, almost rotten fruit smell. Not apatizing. Please note, I did mess up the dryhopping. I read it as "1.5 oz on the first...
