    first time finding this thread. I finally just got around to brewing this. I formulated the recipe as the specs where given on he show from notes i took. Will do a side by side comparison in a few weeks. i am going to for go the dry hopping though and will be Randall'ing it through the Amarillo's.

    Unless you are sitting on loads of pellet hops why not just switch over to whole hops for beers like this. Do the boilmaker pots have false bottoms in them...?

    your best bet is seeking out a few of the best artist in your area then finding the one that has the style you like the best, from there give them a few very simple parameters about what you want and let them go wild. Lots of people go into a tattoo shop with this laundry list of what they want...

    what i meant was can i adjust the percentages manually to then reflect how much of a specific ingredient i will need in either pounds or ounces. Beer alchemy has this little feature where all you basically have to do is add all the grains you want for a given recipe then you just input whatever...

    I would go for the magnum. It would be a good beer to help you understand a hop primarily used for bittering and how it works for flavor and aroma.

    Ferment in corny yes. I had the posts on so i could clean it. I do attached a blow off hose and toss in some foam control because i am putting 5 gallon into the corny.
