So say I have a recipe in beersmith, all I have to do is press the scale button and follow those directions. When you sparge is there anyway to calculate how much sparge water to use?
I want to start brewing 2.5 gallon batches all grain. I assume you just scale down 5 gallon recipes and halve everything.
Here is my equipment.
7 gallon brewpot
5 gallon igloo converted cooler as mash tun
Are the procedures any different for 2.5 gallon batches?

Its hard to say, atleast 100 probably. I filled it from the faucet and didn't realize it was that warm.
How much more time should I wait. There is no activity at all, no foam nothing.
I Chilled wort to 80, poured into bucket and shook around, added top off water.
My sanitizer solution was warm, maybe too warm. I put my yeast packet in there for roughly 5 min before I pitched. It has been 48 hours and there are no signs of fermentation.

All bottles stored at room temp for the specified amount of time then just in the fridge until cold.
How long should they sit in the fridge? Does that really matter?
