    One dumped beer after another

Someone should do an experiment. 5gal simple beer. Split into 2, be very gentle with one to limit oxygen. Then put a ton of oxygen in the other half. Split a pack of dry yeast. Then see what happens.

how do you hold a beer? (bottle)

Also a can prevents skunking. Brown bottles block a lot of bad uv rays but not all. The can blocks all light. Therefore preserving the wonderful hop flavor.

Wort never got to a good rolling boil?

Kitchen gas stoves have this problem too. Max I could get going was about 3 gal, then I just added water. I had a couple of extract with specialty grain batches that never boiled well and turned out.

    5L kegs

Could also look into the party pigs, or tap a draft systems. I have not tried any if the systems yet. But I am looking for something myself. Just don't have the space for the cornie keg setup.

Anyone try one if these? pre made heat stick

So I tried the Marshalltown heater. It helped heat the water much faster. It would the take the wort to a boil then shut down, and repeat. It seems like the internal controller lets it get to a boil the shuts it down till it stops boiling. I'm sure the beer will still taste fine. A nut...

Anyone try one if these? pre made heat stick

I will go with the $40 one. If it works well, great, if not, oh well it is not expensive.

Anyone try one if these? pre made heat stick

http://www.homebrewstuff.com/15-boiling-brew-heater-controller.html I was thinking of trying one if these. Does anyone have any experience with this? Does it work well? My main use would be supplementing my rather weak gas stove. I have only done extract brewing to date. And may go to...
