    Favorite Online Electric Supplies Vendor?

I've used a combination of these 3 sources for most of my build with pretty good results: 1) McMaster.com - Great selection and quick delivery 2) Mouser.com - Great selection, most of the time, cheaper than McMaster, but a little slower delivery 3) AutomationDirect.com - Great switches...

    Whats wrong with my flame

Ding Ding Ding... and the winner is I was all set to drill out 30 impinged jet orifices. Got the dremell out and the micro drill bits. Pulled out the #75 drill bit and low and behold it was to small. As it turned out the orifices are already at about a #70 drill bit. So, now I have to do...

    Whats wrong with my flame

Thanks daytrippr, I'll definitely start with the smallest bit sizes I had found that low pressure chart but also found a high pressure chart at the same site. Both charts use some of the same drill size at the smaller orifice sizes. All this high pressure, low pressure and low pressure...

    Whats wrong with my flame

Thanks Toymaker, I should have mentioned it in my initial post, but I will be using Honeywell gas valves, and already know I need to run and .5 psi or 11" wc. I would prefer not to use an adjustable regulator for this.

    Whats wrong with my flame

Well damn, no matter how much research and due diligence I do, I guess it's inevitable I'd screw something up :(. I thought I doing so well too :). OK so I have to drill them out, or get new burners. If I drill them out myself, what size drill bit would you recommend? Would I drill the to...

    Whats wrong with my flame

Got my Jet burners in, and wanted to test fire them. I bought these burners, and this regulator. I'm not using any valves at this point. I go straight from the Green Acme connector to the regulator, then a 22" flexible hose right into the burner. I even bought this 2-stage regulator and...

paint prep for mild steel tube

Believe me, I will be using a respirator and goggles when I do the spraying. I'll also be doing outside and on day with very little wind. What I've heard is that, yes the mill scale will prolong the formation of rust, but over time mill scale will begin to flake off and those exposed areas...

paint prep for mild steel tube

Mind you, I haven't tried this yet, but I'm also in the middle of a brewstand build. I've heard that Muriatic acid will dissolve the mill scale with minimal effort on your part. My plan is the build the stand then when I'm ready to paint, use a pressure sprayer (you know, one of those bottles...

    Chugger Pump Enclosure Build

I've got a question. When you put the enclosure between the motor and the pump head, are you using the same screws that came with the pump, or did you have to get longer screws?

Which Love 16B PID do I need to control a Honeywell SV9501M2528

OK, here it goes. My first post, :rockin: and I'm sure it won't be my last. I've been planning and designing a Brutus 10 style brew sculpture for the past 6 weeks and am getting down to the nitty gritty. I'm starting to source and spec my parts list. I'm going to be using the Honeywell...
