For my coffee stout, I took whole espresso beans and cut them in halves. Put them into primary once fermentation died down and let them sit in the beer for a week. Worked great! I had heard that hot brewing the coffee adds extra bitterness that can be unwanted since we have hops for that.

I second the Santa Fe Brewing Company. I went to the Eldorado Taphouse. They had a varied selection and the Imperial Java Stout is one of my favorites. Hard to beat $2 pints on Tuesdays at the Eldorado Taphouse and Wednesdays at the brewery.

Would the check valve be part of the regulator or ball lock connector? Otherwise, I haven't added anything.

So I've been kegging for over a year and I always thought that I was able to close my tank, close off the hose to the keg, release the pressure from the regulator, open the hose from the keg and I would get a readout of the pressure currently in the keg. Unfortunately, this isn't the case...
