Are these your first 2 batches doing lagers/hybrids? What temp did you ferment at and how did you control?

I am convinced I am allergic Montrachet yeast. Every time I drank from my first batch of apfelwein I would start sneezing continuously for 20 minutes. Made many batches since with other yeasts and have not had a problem.

Doesn't really matter what % you plan for, take a pre-boil gravity reading and you will know what your efficiency was and can adjust your hop quantities to get your desired IBU.

What about using JB Weld over that tab of the lug. Since its an insulator you can't use it between the lug and the pot, but if you place the lug on the pot, then JB weld over, you should have a good contact for ground, right?

I had the same problem on my 525's and chrome 3" shanks. I used a dremel with a burlew wheel and ground the grooves between the shanks teeth until it accepted the faucet, then got different o-rings to replace the stock ones that made a nice seal. I searched and searched as well, and couldn't...

Dow Corning 732 is 100% silicone. No solvents, no volatile compounds. How is this different than using a silicone o-ring?
