I made a starter from Boulevards Saison Brett with no plans for it. I have a quart jar with about 1 inch of the yeast. I know the brett vials have very little in them. My question is if I wanted to add this to a saison how much should I add? Or should I just use the whole starter for primary...
I cannot seem to find any clones out there for this beer. This is a great summer beer with a nice amount of abv to boot. Does anyone know a grain bill/hop schedule for a 6 gal recipe?
I made this zombie dust all grain clone and the it looks a little odd to me. I know the London esb strain is flocculant but this is 10mins after pitching the yeast. I used whirfloc , I'm not sure if that caused this or not.

I just did this addition to my water for an ipa. 2tsp of gypsum 2tsp of calcium chloride. My ppm is in the low five hundreds. Does that seem high to anyone else?

You're right. But at the time my logic was buying two more vials or a flask, DME, and stir plate. Never crossed my mind to use a sterile jar and just swirl it instead. Lesson learned.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I did aerate the wort by pouring into the fermentor from about 3 feet up and added top off water and stirred vigorously for a bit. Wort was about 73°F when I pitched the yeast. The Airlock is showing a little action this morning
