Moving to Full Boil... Kettle Help

You have quite a few options. When I started out I bought a turkey fryer kit. Yes its aluminum but will allow you to do a full boil and the burner will bring the water to a boil much quicker than a stove top. Then later you can make a keggle or purchase a bigger ss kettle if you desire. I think...

Best site to purchase for kegerator

I have ordered from beverage factory and they had some sales last time I looked. If you are going to do faucets save yourself money and get the perlick ones first. I didn't and regretted it. Then I spent way more to upgrade.

    Fermenting time bottles vs kegging

I'm no expert, but a minimum ferm time on here seems to be 3 weeks. Let the yeast do their work and clear out. If you want to age more you can always naturally carbonate in a keg. I like to have my kegs carbonate at serving pressure and give them a couple weeks. They always taste better to me...

STC 1000 "Ebay" Temperature Controller Build

I finally decided to build mine the other day after having the controller for months. Yes the 2 gang box is tight. I had to dremel out some of the internal supports to make it fit snugly. I may redo it using a junction box or project box in the future but this works fine and would look very nice...

    Kegging or going all grain?

This depends what your needs are. I do both all grain and extract, it just depends how much time I have. All grain takes longer but you are able to do more with recipes and I find it is cheaper per recipe. I love kegging my beers but make sure you have a pipeline because you will go through more...

    hop additions

I'm getting ready to brew an extract with simcoe and Amarillo. I have 8oz of each. I want a very hoppy beer am I better off with more early or more late. I plan on dry hopping 1oz of each for at least 2 weeks. Any recommendations

don't judge me by the length of my dip tube

Ever since I started using a hop sock over the end of the siphon I get almost no sediment at the bottom. But I force Carb so I don't have to deal with the cake that is produced from naturally carbing

how long can i go in secondary

I'm really not worried if it clears I just wanted to let it age in the carboy but I don't want to ruin it. What's the longest any of you let one sit before bottling/kegging?

how long can i go in secondary

It will not clear. I have yet to get a cider to clear. I may just bottle it and let it age in there

how long can i go in secondary

I started a cider on Dec 3rd and racked it to secondary after 6 weeks and I've let it just sit. How long can i let it bulk age without having issues.
