i'm thinking of tapping the gas from my water heater supply line with a 50ft- 1/4" hose to a 10 tip burner. would the length of the house and the size (diameter) and my supply be sufficient to run a 10 tip?

Your recipe yielding 1.070, something is definitely off. Shouldn't be that high. But also shouldn't be as low as predicted either. My 0.02

I tried making a Saison the other day.
Yeast: wy3711
Starter: ~1.5L
Aeration method: paint stirrer on my drill. the wort was practically a froth. then during the transfer from HLT to carboy the wort goes through a screen which further aerates it.
My original gravity was 1.057

if i may ask, you brew your IIPA once a year. how fast do you go through your batch? i have yet to brew an IPA because i don't want to rush through a 5gal keg to myself because the hops start losing it's aroma or the beer starts tasting bad because i'm not drinking fast enough.
