Doubling Down: SS Brewtech Conical + FTSS + Glycol Power Pack

Yeah, samples from the sample valve. Easy and no risk of making a giant mess. You can pretty easily rotate the valve assembly to spin the racking arm up or down. I thought at first it might be difficult or that you'd have to loosen it up and risk spilling beer everywhere but nope... it simply...

Doubling Down: SS Brewtech Conical + FTSS + Glycol Power Pack

I can run my janky window AC unit down to the 20s easily and have no trouble freezing my fermenter if I wanted to. I bet your purpose built glycol chillers can handle lower temps fine?

Does anyone have quick disconnects (sealing ones) on the glycol lines to the coil they could link? I need to get something so I can move it around easier.

Single IPA hop you can't live without

Tough call between simcoe and centennial for me. Both are life.

Doubling Down: SS Brewtech Conical + FTSS + Glycol Power Pack

Was going to keg my first unitank batch tomorrow but going out of town this weekend. Nice thing about it being pressurized, could leave it in there quite a bit longer and not worry a thing.

Ive seen some smaller breweries that have one of their big staples in a brite tank piped right to the tap, but yeah that's very rare.

    The Black Box Controller

Post an add on Craigslist that you'll trade a couple sixers for a 30sec electronics soldering job.

Displacing volume in there seems silly to me. Either get the smaller one or just brew larger batches :p. More beer is always the answer I reckon. So far my 14G one is doing just fine on a 6G batch, but it's cool in my garage so the glycol hasn't really ran at all. I did pitch it at 80 and it...

Kettle Drain and Recirculate with Splitter?

There's probably a half inch TC 3way ball valve out there you can buy.

It's been said before: don't brew drunk!

Brewing is pretty damn easy, are you guys really getting that toasted you can't operate the valves right or forget to sanitize? Sheeeit. All of the tricky part is at the front end when I'm only on beer one or two -- measuring ingredients out.

Went away for a little while and....

As long as we can all agree that saisons are horrendous.

I think NEIPAs are delicious but can't down them like I do a nice dry and bitter west coaster. The clarity isnt a big deal to me. Have you ever had the ones that basically look like OJ? I think they're quite nice looking. The general murkiness some have isn't very appealing.

Fermentation Chamber or just get a chest freezer?

Ive had a pretty easy time getting truck-owning friends and neighbors to take an hour or two out of a day for an open invitation to swing by and grab some pints here and there. Just something to keep in mind as a homebrewer...
