    Don't forget the gypsum. I usually add around a tablespoon or so for ten gallons. Really accentuates hops. You won't regret getting the yeast starter equipment. I've never looked back. Cheers

    I wouldn't waste too many of those nice hops early on the boil. I would also highly recommend making a starter or pitching two packs of yeast. Your gravity is pretty high. Might be a bit of a struggle for those yeasties.

    I think your yeast wasn't very viable. Lag phase usually takes 24 hrs but it may take a few days for activity to occur. I would wait another day. If no activity is present then pitch with two packs of the yeast of your liking. If your sanitation practices are sound you shouldn't worry about...

    Did you cold crash after primary fermentation or secondary? What did you do from the end of the ferm to bottling. Any finings?

    Okay, so i made the all grain Hefe yesterday. 4.5 gal strike water dough in @175 and temp was at 156 so i stirred to i hit 152 and tightened the lid. I sparged and collected about 3.25 gallons. I batch sparged with 185* water but it only hot me to 162~ oh well. total pre boil wort collected...
