Could I siphon the liquor to the mash?

Thanks for the info. If it doesnt work the way I want it to then I'll definitely use that method. I'm still only on extract kits right now.

In the next few days I will start to work on a fermentation chamber. I was wondering is it possible to wire the temp controller so I can set the temperature and it controls the heat and the cold air till it reaches the desired temperature?:confused:

How often do I take hydrometer readings during fermentation?

Hey my name is Harley. yesterday I had my first brew day, and it went fairly well. Made a Nut Brown Ale from northern brewer, and I used the basic starter kit from Northern Brewer also. Hoping to make this a life long hobby and as I become more experienced I will buy new setups and what not...
