So a mate works in a gun shop, he gave me a deal on a 20oz refillable ($7) Co2 tank, and a ... stretchy quick connect (for paintball obvioulsy) with on/off gas line which I now only need to find a double ended female thread to put on my keg coupler and stretchy gas line. $100 usd all up so not...

Yeah obviously camra rules don't apply (or interest) me. Interesting tho that the uk pubs that have real ales on tap prob don't put co2 back in the cask. And they clearly won't finish a cask/keg in a few days. 2 weeks if you are lucky surely depending on the pub?

Hmm it looks like a lot of work to make my standard 'sanke' keg into a cask with a breather spile etc...

But what is the hand-pull beer engine replacing into the keg when it's being pulled? Natural air? Isn't this bad for the beer for tomorrow or next week? (having a bit of a discussion in another thread about my keg set-up with a handpump, where necessary but the natural carbing method lasts for...

Cheers fellas for your input. It sounds like I need to stop using the handpump for sanitary reasons, especially since we are heading into summer. I will look into the mini co2 chargers... but it seems like I will just use the natural pressure, which I think will do just fine:)
