    Look out for Neales (NBS) No Rinse Sanitiser in your local homebrew shops mate, its basically Malt Miller's version and a lot cheaper.

    Fermenting at unstable temperatures

    You could also take a look at different kinds of yeasts, one that would work fine with the temperature swings. Mangrove Jack's Workhorse for example:- "Suitable to ferment lager styles at 15-20°C (59-68 °F) and all other beer styles at 20-32°C (68-90°F)."

    Your water volumes could be off, your scales could be dodgy, you could have a lower boil off rate than you expected, etc etc.

    In all seriousness though, this is pretty common practice in the "BrewTube" community on YouTube. We're all a friendly bunch and send each other beers all the time. I've found in a similar way to you that I don't know many homebrewers but have found a lot of very interesting and useful ideas...
