thanks for all the replies... 2lbs just seems like a lot though...
Style: Imperial IPA
Boil Time: 90 min
Batch Size: 5.5 gallons (fermentor volume)
Boil Size: 7.5 gallons
Efficiency: 75%
OG 1.082
FG 1.010
ABV 9.41%
Fermentables:
12.5 lb United Kingdom - Maris Otter Pale
2 lb Corn Sugar...
Found a recipe I was going to try that for 6 gallons calls for 2lbs of dextrose added to the boil.
If thats correct would that fermented wort need priming sugar added before bottling?
but if I add volume of LME into a 5 gallon boil then my boil is no longer 5 gallons. If I wait till I lose water due to evaporation, then add more LME my final wort isnt 5 gallons is WAY over
Been brewing with DME for a year now and been pretty much sucessful with each batch.
However I have heard great things about Northern Brewer super structure malt blend and wanted to try some LME.
I found a grain recipe I want to copy that calls for 12.5lbs of grain.
Sincerely...

If you could make one thing easier in the whole process from start to finish in home brewing what would it be and why?
just curious about everyone's opinions
what if I could find a product that would perfectly clean or sanitize 12 bottles at a time in less than 10 seconds, remove the labels with ease and could also be used to sanitize the rest of your brewing equipment as well??
Experimenting at home with some stuff to make my stupid life easier...
Geez... its time consuming.. I must be doing something wrong?
How do you guys clean and sanitize your bottles? Seems to take forever if I am doing 48 12oz ones..
thanks for any suggestions
